Support Accountant | Hybrid, Night Shift Job | Up to PHP30,000
GoTeam is looking for a Support Accountant to join the team who will aid the Account Manager, contributing to a highly intricate and interwoven group of accounts consisting of 10 restaurant locations, 2 management companies, and 1 holding company. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in Xero accounting, restaurant point-of-sale systems, and Excel spreadsheets.
The client is a franchise accounting expert providing accurate, timely, and reliable financial data through their cloud-based, customizable accounting dashboard allowing both first-time business owners and experienced multi-unit operators to manage their businesses with ease.
In this position, you will be:
- Processing accounts payable bills and accounts receivable deposits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular reconciliation of bank and credit card statements in collaboration with the account manager.
- Generating and maintaining payroll journal entries on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring the reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts such as Payroll Tax Payable and Net paycheck clearing account.
- Ensuring precise reconciliation of the cash deposits clearing account.
- Performing thorough reconciliation and verification of intercompany transactions to guarantee accuracy.
- Reviewing all 3rd party delivery accounts, analyzing associated fees, and posting them accurately.
- Posting weekly inventory entries, including transfers to other locations, ensuring proper documentation and recording.
- Preparing weekly Ad-fund and Royalty bills based on a percentage of sales, maintaining accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Preparing and posting accrual journal entries as needed to accurately reflect financial transactions and obligations.
- Conducting regular reviews of general ledger activity to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded
- Assisting in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports by gathering and organizing relevant data, performing analysis, and ensuring accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of accounting principles and their practical application.
- Possesses exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in working with Xero accounting software, restaurant point-of-sale systems, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and integrity.
Must be willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of working from the office on certain days located in Cebu City, Cebu.
