GoTeam is seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/General Ledger Specialist to play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. As a key contributor to our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless processing of vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the enhancement of our accounts payable processes.

In this position, you will be: 

  • Processing vendor invoices and expense reports with precision and efficiency. 
  • Verifying and matching invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents, verifying pricing, quantities, and terms. 
  • Investigating and rectifying discrepancies in vendor invoices while obtaining necessary approvals and making corrections as needed. 
  • Cultivating and sustaining positive vendor relationships through effective communication and issue resolution. 
  • Executing timely and accurate payment processing using diverse methods such as checks, ACH transfers, and electronic platforms. 
  • Ensuring accurate recording and posting of accounts payable transactions into the general ledger system. 
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of accounts payable processes and internal controls. 
  • Generating comprehensive financial reports and analyses pertaining to accounts payable for management review. 
  • Participating actively in audit processes, offering essential documentation and support as needed. 
  • Maintaining current knowledge of industry best practices and accounting regulations for strict compliance. 
  • Skillfully performing General Ledger coding for CC/PEX card transactions and facilitating credit card reconciliations.
     

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, ideally encompassing general ledger functions. 
  • Exemplary focus on meticulous detail and precision.  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are highly preferred
  • Proficient understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices. 
  • Skilled in effectively navigating accounting software and ERP systems. 
  • Robust analytical mindset combined with adept problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented setting. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other vital office software. 
  • Prior engagement in process enhancement endeavors is a valuable addition. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Professional) offer a distinct advantage. 
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Concur software constitutes a highly beneficial attribute.
