Senior Accountant | WFH, Night Shift Job | Up to PHP50,000
GoTeam is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee and streamline our accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of financial records. Working together with the Fractional CFO and accounting team and reporting directly to the Owner, is an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to make a significant impact on our organization while working in a dynamic and fun-filled environment, delivering exceptional products to our valued customers.

In this position, you will be:
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the general ledger and related accounts by maintaining proper records.
- Performing reconciliations and preparing month-end financial statements by the 5th of each month for the previous month.
- Preparing comprehensive financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis, conducting analysis to provide insights and recommendations.
- Maintaining and managing the computerized accounting system, including backup control, and providing assistance to other accounting staff for inquiries, report generation, and statement printing.
- Administering the preparation of interim, year-end, and comparative financial reports, and conducting analysis to compare current results with prior periods and budgets.
- Preparing, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Continuously improving accounting processes, such as payment procedures
- Generating invoices and statements in accordance with company practices.
- Verifying, recording, and controlling all payments and expenditures, including freight bills, payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.
- Assisting the Owner in training and managing the accounting staff.
- Preparing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all accounts, ensuring the accuracy of bank statements, and resolving any questions or issues.
- Performing reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries that arise.
- Reviewing and preparing payroll records, processing payroll checks, and collaborating with an external payroll service provider for reports.
- Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax verification and the preparation of sales tax returns.
- Preparing and analyzing metrics data and other financial analyses on a weekly and monthly basis for the Owner.
- Supporting the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams with inventory control, conducting inventory counts, and generating reports for inventory and warranty review.
- Assisting the Owner in coordinating the year-end financial review, preparing schedules, and gathering documents for independent CPA audits.
- Aiding the Owner in monthly budget calculations and reviews.
- Establishing and maintaining organized files, and databases, and assisting in implementing efficient systems.
- Fostering a positive team atmosphere that promotes cooperation, teamwork, high morale, accountability, positive interpersonal interactions, effective communication, and recognition for exemplary performance.
- Managing other accounts and performing additional accounting duties as required or requested by the Owner.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting with 3-5 years of Accounting Experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others, including demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in commonly used accounting and spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Office and preferred experience with QuickBooks Desktop Manufacturing and Wholesale Edition.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing inventory management.
- Comprehensive experience in all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Background in the manufacturing or distribution industry is highly preferred
- Excels in a collaborative environment, demonstrating exceptional teamwork skills.
- Pays meticulous attention to detail, effectively manages multiple tasks, and possesses outstanding organizational abilities.
- Communicates clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrates traits of dependability, self-motivation, honesty, and integrity, and upholds the highest standards of confidentiality.
