Property Accountant | Hybrid, Night Shift Job | Up to PHP65,000

 

GoTeam is looking for two (2) Property Accountants to join the team who will be responsible for managing the accounting processes for various properties within the client’s Management portfolio. The successful candidates will ensure the accurate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses, compile and analyze financial information, resolve discrepancies, monitor accounting controls, prepare financial statements, and provide recommendations for efficient resource use. This position will work closely with Property Management, on-site staff, and other internal stakeholders to provide accurate financial reporting packages each month.

In this position, you will be:

  • Managing the accounting processes for various properties within the client’s Management portfolio
  • Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information and preparing journal entries
  • Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Monitoring and ensuring the maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Preparing monthly financial statement packages, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Analyzing financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide recommendations and implement solutions
  • Partnering with Property Management to provide accurate and timely responses to owner requests for financial information
  • Monitoring property cash balances and ensuring that required reserves are maintained
  • Preparing property cash flow projections and analyzing variances
  • Preparing invoice packages for weekly invoice payments
  • Completing bank reconciliations and reviewing transactions for accuracy
  • Compiling financial data for bank reporting and outside audits
  • Participating in the annual budget process; providing tax, insurance, and debt data for annual budget
  • Completing reasonableness review of the annual budget; Upload annual budgets into the financial reporting system
  • Completing bank reconciliations on the client’s Management accounts
  • Reconciling Intercompany and affiliate accounts
  • Assisting in new property transitions, including financial analysis and documentation of accounting processes
  • Participating in evaluating, defining, documenting, and maintaining accounting processes and procedures
  • Undertaking other accounting projects and duties as assigned by management.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Previous experience in a real estate or property management company is preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent professional designation is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting software.
  • Knowledge of property management software such as Entrata, Yardi, Real Page, or similar platforms is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • The candidate must be open to a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days in the office (Tuesdays to Thursdays) and Mondays and Fridays working remotely from home.
