Support Staff Accountant | Hybrid (Cebu), Night-Shift | Up to PHP35K

GoTeam is looking for Support Staff Accountant who will be responsible for performing accounting tasks, including reconciliation and posting of accounting transactions, to ensure the accuracy of financial data for a set number of company’s clients. This position is part of the Continuous Close Team and contributes to a high performing, collaborative team culture, modeling the company’s values and behaviors.

The client is a franchise accounting expert providing accurate, timely, and reliable financial data through their cloud-based, customizable accounting dashboard allowing both first-time business owners and experienced multi-unit operators to manage their businesses with ease.

 

In this position, you will be:

  • Reporting directly to a Team Manager in the USA.
  • Working with other Philippines resources to complete accounting work as a team.
  • Completing the continuous close process, including downloading and reconciling bank accounts and credit card accounts, and downloading and posting 3rd party delivery fees per statements.
  • Reconciling delivery clearing accounts and maintaining consistent and timely completion of accounting activities.
  • Performing quality control checks of other team members, identify data quality issues and errors, investigate data discrepancies, and partner with company leaders and staff to reach resolutions.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities that expand and improve the company’s practices, processes, and services.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliation and posting of accounting transactions.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Xero or General Ledger Software experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle technical accounting competencies, including AP, AR, deposit reconciliation, inventory posting, payroll reconciliation, and month-end close checklists.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Xero, and other relevant accounting software applications is a plus
  • Confidence in performing quality control checks of other team members.
  • Proficient at detecting and resolving data quality issues and errors, and collaborating with company leaders and staff to achieve solutions.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with a focus on service-oriented leadership and mentoring team members.
  • Be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Nice to have: Accounting Management Experience and Restaurant Accounting Experience

 

Must be willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of working from the office on certain days located in Cebu City, Cebu.
