Medical Data Entry Specialist | Onsite, Day-Shift | Up to PHP25K
GoTeam is looking for five (5) Medical Data Entry Specialists who will assist with VA disability claims by accurately documenting the severity and symptoms of veterans’ service-connected disabilities through Disability Benefit Questionnaire (DBQ) generation. The successful candidates will be responsible for transcribing information, paraphrasing veterans’ descriptions, and drafting written content from a provider’s perspective. This role requires the ideal candidate to have a high level of attention to detail, exceptional English writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

In this position, you will be:
- Accurately transcribing information from a veteran’s basic medical questionnaire onto the official DBQ form in a timely manner.
- Paraphrasing veterans’ descriptions and skillfully drafting written content from the perspective of a provider.
- Thoroughly reviewing and comprehending the VA’s Rating Schedule to determine disability rating requirements and aligning veterans’ conditions with the appropriate rating criteria.
- Determining projected ratings for each DBQ by utilizing the Rating Schedule effectively.
- Meeting or surpassing the goal of consistently generating high-quality content at a productive pace once adequately trained.
- Independently managing day-to-day tasks while receiving support from a remote team.
- Maintaining a precise daily productivity log.
- Communicating clearly, professionally, and effectively with veterans and staff members.
- Executing written or verbal instructions proficiently and accurately.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or a degree in a relevant field is required.
- Previous experience in medical administrative roles (e.g., scribe work, transcription, medical record maintenance) is advantageous.
- Prior experience in healthcare medical, or ESL fields is highly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal proficiency in English, with strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, consistently achieving an accuracy rate of 85% or higher.
- Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating the ability to independently acquire knowledge from written and video guides.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and professional interactions with veterans and staff.
- Proficiency in navigating and effectively utilizing multiple computer programs simultaneously, including CRM, Monday.com, Adobe Reader, Outlook, and cloud-based file sharing systems. Basic system training will be provided.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated typing speed of 50+ words per minute with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in downloading/uploading programs, files, and adept at working with various technology-based systems.
- Preferred experience using Adobe Acrobat and advanced skills in manipulating PDF form field formatting.
