Billing Accountant | Hybrid, Night-Shift | Up to PHP40K

 

GoTeam is seeking two (2) detail-oriented Billing Accountants to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining financial records. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the smooth financial operations of the company, providing an essential foundation for growth and success.

Your client is a Texas-based business that provides human capital management software and services to more than 60,000 small and medium businesses. They offer a range of services, including time and attendance tracking and payroll and tax processing, all the way to a fully outsourced HR department.
 

In this position, you will be:

  • Preparing and generating accurate and timely invoices, calculating fees, charges, and taxes, and ensuring all relevant information is included. 
  • Maintaining and updating billing data and customer information in the company’s billing systems, ensuring accuracy and proper recording of changes. 
  • Processing incoming payments, verifying details, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure seamless financial transactions. 
  • Reconciling billing statements with accounts receivable records to accurately account for and apply payments. 
  • Handling customer inquiries, resolving billing discrepancies, and managing billing-related disputes with a customer-focused approach. 
  • Generating and analyzing billing reports, including overdue accounts and payment trends, providing valuable insights to management and relevant departments. 
  • Staying updated on billing and invoicing regulations to ensure adherence to legal requirements and industry standards. 
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure a smooth billing process and resolve issues effectively. 
  • Maintaining accurate and organized financial records related to billing activities. 
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the billing department, contributing to more efficient and effective billing procedures. 

 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Billing or Collections is required 
  • At least 1 year of experience in the SaaS or Software industry; experience in Payroll or HCM industry highly desired. 
  • Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related financial role is preferred, showcasing a solid understanding of financial processes. 
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy when handling financial data. 
  • Familiarity with billing software or accounting systems, demonstrating proficiency in using relevant tools for efficient billing operations. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing clear and effective interaction with team members and customers. 
  • Adept at working independently and collaboratively as part of a team, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues and proactively propose solutions to improve billing processes. 

 

Must be willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of working from the office located in Cebu City, Cebu from Mondays to Wednesdays (occasionally on Thursdays) and working remotely on Fridays.
