Accounts Payable Specialist | Hybrid, Night Shift | Up to PHP30K
GoTeam is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team who will play a crucial role in ensuring timely payment to vendors for services and products. This position involves reviewing and processing invoices, handling vendor inquiries, reconciling statements, managing 1099 statements, and processing payments. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with experience in accounts payable and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Your client is a specialized semi-trailer solutions provider founded in 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They offer new and used trailer services including sales, leasing, rental, repair and maintenance, and parts from ten dealerships in eight states throughout the West, Southwest, and Midwest. They are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and providing in-house financing options to meet their clients’ diverse needs.
In this position, you will be:
- Efficiently receiving, processing, verifying, reconciling, and authorizing timely payment of invoices in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly reviewing automatic payments to validate correct coding, authorization, and comprehensive documentation.
- Diligently inspecting paid and unpaid invoices, promptly addressing cleared payment inquiries, and accurately recording check voiding to maintain meticulous files and records.
- Collaborating closely with internal departments to compile, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
- Allocating payments to the appropriate accounts and meticulously coding invoices within the accounting system.
- Conducting precise reconciliation of accounts payable transactions with the general ledger to ensure data accuracy.
- Methodically cross-verifying invoice amounts against contracts and purchase orders through comprehensive two/three-way matching.
- Systematically organizing and maintaining well-structured files containing subcontractor/vendor billings, lien releases, and preliminary notices.
- Generating accurate reports on subcontractor/vendor billing status, cost status, and other requested financial information for management.
- Timely and accurately organizing, scanning, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Collaborating actively on special projects and assignments as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience of two or more years in Accounts Payable, preferably in a similar capacity.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Finance-related field is highly preferred
- Proficiency in utilizing accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of fundamental Bookkeeping and Accounting principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accurately calculating, posting, and managing accounting figures and financial records.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with keen data entry skills with a focus on numerical precision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Must be willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of working from the office on certain days located in Cebu City, Cebu.
