Accounting Manager (with US GAAP Exp.) | Full-Remote, Night-Shift | Up to PHP100K

 

GoTeam is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager(with US GAAP Experience) to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The successful candidate will lead a team of accounting professionals, establish and implement accounting policies and procedures, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the company’s financial goals.

Your client is a specialized semi-trailer solutions provider founded in 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They offer new and used trailer services including sales, leasing, rental, repair and maintenance, and parts from ten dealerships in eight states throughout the West, Southwest, and Midwest. They are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and providing in-house financing options to meet their clients’ diverse needs.

 

In this position, you will be:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating the year-end close process in collaboration with internal and external auditors
  • Ensuring successful completion of the company’s tax filings, working closely with tax advisors and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and requirements.
  • Maintaining the general ledger and general ledger system, overseeing the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
  • Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules, while assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.
  • Conducting research on accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP, providing guidance and recommendations to management as needed.
  • Planning, budgeting, and authorizing expenditures, effectively managing financial resources and controlling costs.
  • Recruiting, training, and retaining competent accounting staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP to drive accurate financial reporting and decision-making processes.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 3 years of previous team management responsibility.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Excel, demonstrating advanced knowledge of financial software and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, displaying a keen attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Transportation industry experience is a plus but not required
