GoTeam is looking for two (2) Paralegalwho will play a pivotal role in the firm, providing crucial support to our General Counsel. With a focus on obtaining, preparing, and filing various legal documents, certificates, and forms, this role also involves forming entities and conducting essential UCC searches. As an integral part of our team, the Paralegal contributes to the seamless management of transactions from letters of intent to closing binders.

 

The client for this role aims to simplify traditionally complex aspects of real estate investing, such as taxation, operations, and legal issues, to provide a simple solution to their clients to enjoy the benefits of passive income. You will be working with a team of experienced professionals helping investors achieve high-yield returns in U.S. real estate investment in an easy and straightforward manner.

 

In this position, you will be:
  • Coordinating and reviewing titles and surveys, conducting in-depth analysis, and summarizing all relevant documents.
  • Preparing comprehensive title objection and response letters, including handling title-related estoppels.
  • Expertly resolving issues arising from title and survey analysis, ensuring smooth progress of real estate transactions.
  • Efficiently preparing and filing UCC financing statements and procuring UCC lien and other essential searches.
  • Conducting lease reviews and abstractions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Creating and managing closing checklists, ensuring meticulous attention to critical dates.
  • Drafting closing documents and relevant materials for acquisition financing, including affidavits and certificates.
  • Obtaining necessary documentation from the Registry of Deeds and various governmental agencies.
  • Assisting with diverse lease documents and reviewing due diligence materials.

 

Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal
  • Possession of a paralegal certificate is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Extensive experience in complex real estate transactions, including in-depth due diligence expertise, title and survey review, commercial leasing, contract drafting and review, UCC filings, lien searches, critical date tracking, objection letters, transaction closings, and post-closing matters.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly in business matters.
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills, enabling efficient multitasking and prioritization of tasks and projects throughout the day.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate work products.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, exceptional research and investigation skills, discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • A team-oriented individual with a highly flexible and cooperative attitude.
  • Proven ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment in time-sensitive decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, actively and proactively seeking creative solutions.
