Lien Negotiator | Hybrid, Night-Shift Job | Up to PHP30K
GoTeam is looking for two (2) Lien Negotiators to join the team. The candidates are responsible for negotiating post-settlement liens and providing clients with the best possible recovery. This role involves regular communication with clients and medical providers, drafting reduction letters, and organizing client medical bills. The successful candidates will have excellent multitasking and deadline management skills.
Your client leads a legal practice based in California that is committed to making the legal system more accessible to everyone. With a team of experienced personal injury attorneys, they work to obtain medical treatment and fair compensation for clients.
In this position, you will be:
- Negotiating and resolving post-settlement liens, including health insurance liens, hospital liens, private medical provider liens, and state and federal medical provider liens, to ensure clients receive the best possible recovery.
- Regularly communicating with clients, keeping them informed about the status of their cases, and providing updates on lien negotiations.
- Providing status updates to medical providers, such as hospitals and medical facilities, to ensure that they are aware of the progress in lien negotiations.
- Drafting reduction letters to request a reduction in medical bills and liens from providers, such as medical facilities and insurance companies, in order to reduce the total amount of liens to be paid from the settlement.
- Obtaining final medical balances at settlement, ensuring that all medical bills are accounted for and that the settlement amount is accurately reflected.
- Assembling, organizing, and itemizing client medical bills, ensuring that all medical bills are documented and organized in a way that is easily accessible for future reference.
- Communicating with Medi-cal and Medicare to ensure that all lien obligations are fulfilled and to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to effectively use these tools to manage and organize lien negotiation data.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all information and documentation is accurate and complete.
- Professional demeanor on the phone and in all business communications, including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and quotas, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to multitask, managing multiple cases and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including the ability to effectively communicate with team members and share information and resources as needed.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of working from the office on certain days located in Cebu City, Cebu.
