HR Manager | Office-Based, Day Shift Job | Up to PHP90K

 

GoTeam is currently looking for an HR Manager to oversee employee relations, benefits administration, policymaking, compliance, and performance management. The role requires collaboration with other departments to align HR practices with organizational goals and legal standards. Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and leadership skills are essential for the ideal candidate.

In this role, you will be:

  • Managing Employee Relations
    • Managing employee relations, including handling disputes and conflicts in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
    • Reviewing and implementing all company policies and procedural guidelines to meet organizational values, ensuring that employees are aware of and adhere to them.
    • Investigating employee issues and gathering all relevant information, including interviewing the employees involved, reviewing documents, and consulting with other departments or managers.
    • Resolving conflicts between employees and management or between employees themselves through mediating discussions, facilitating problem-solving sessions, or recommending counseling or coaching.
    • Managing the discipline process, including issuing warnings, and suspending, or terminating employees, with sensitivity and fairness.
    • Conducting exit interviews with departing employees to understand their feedback and help improve the organization.
  • Handling Performance Management
    • Ensuring that employees perform their best work and contribute to the organization’s success by providing them with constructive feedback, training, and coaching.
    • Ensuring compliance and completion of quarterly performance reviews by heads of department and coaches, and addressing performance-related escalations from employees including unfair evaluations or inconsistent feedback.
    • Identifying trends and areas where performance management processes can be improved and providing guidance to the leadership team to implement effective solutions.
  • Handling Compliance and Legal Issues
    • Ensuring adherence to fair and just employment practices, treating all employees with respect and dignity.
    • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, staying up to date on any changes or updates.
    • Conducting audits of workplace practices and documentation, and managing legal issues related to employment, such as discrimination or harassment claims.
    • Ensuring consistency in the implementation of HR policies and processes across the organization, while also recognizing and accommodating the unique needs of each employee.
  • Managing Benefits Administration
    • Managing the benefits program to attract and retain employees and ensure that it remains competitive and relevant.
    • Maintaining relationships with benefit providers such as insurance carriers and third-party administrators to ensure that benefits are delivered properly and within budget.
    • Streamlining the benefits administration process to ensure its efficiency and accessibility, while also providing personalized support to employees.
  • Managing HR Metrics
    • Providing valuable insights for top leadership and helping them make informed decisions by tracking and analyzing HR metrics and using data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
    • Supporting the top Leadership Team by providing relevant and timely HR statistics and communicating trends and areas of concern.
    • Policymaking, Documentation, and HR Processes
    • Establishing clear policies and procedures, documenting key HR activities, and following established processes, while also being open to feedback and suggestions for improvement.
    • Developing policies, documentation, and processes that align with the organization’s strategic goals and comply with legal requirements, while also ensuring that they are easy to understand and accessible to all employees.
    • Continuously reviewing and updating HR policies, documentation, and processes to ensure they remain relevant and effective, while also taking into account the changing needs of the organization and its employees.
  • Providing Leadership
    • Providing leadership and direction to the HR team to align with the goals and objectives of the organization, while also recognizing and appreciating the unique skills and perspectives of each team member.
    • Setting clear expectations for the team in terms of goals, priorities, and performance standards, and providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.
    • Fostering a collaborative team environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and working together to achieve common goals, while also promoting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and appreciation.
  • Managing Problem-Solving and Escalation Resolution
    • Ensuring that customer concerns and issues are addressed promptly and satisfactorily, while also being empathetic and understanding.
    • Receiving and reviewing escalated complaints and issues from employees, clients, or internal departments, and investigating and analyzing them to identify the root cause of the issue and recommend solutions for resolution.
    • Documenting the resolution process and communicating it effectively to all parties

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR management or a related field
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proven problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Ability to provide valuable insights to top leadership based on HR metrics and data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in HR software and the Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance preferred.
