Accounts Receivable Supervisor | Full-Remote, Night Shift Job | Up to PHP40,000

 

GoTeam is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join the team who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable processes. Your role will involve leading a team, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow. By maintaining financial records and monitoring customer accounts, you will contribute to minimizing bad debt and supporting the organization’s financial stability.

You will be working with a property management company based on the West Coast of the United States that caters to the corporate and residential housing requirements of communities across over 30 cities. The company enables its clients to pursue their opportunities, interests, relationships, and family wherever they may take them by providing flexible housing solutions.

In this position, you will be:

  • Supervising and guiding a team of AR clerks and specialists, providing training, support, and performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Overseeing the entire AR process, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and reconciliation while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and comply with contractual terms and conditions. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales or operations, to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
  • Monitoring incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate application to customer accounts. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize collections and reduce outstanding accounts receivable balances by monitoring aging reports, following up on overdue accounts, and liaising with customers to resolve payment disputes or issues.
  • Evaluating customer creditworthiness, establishing credit limits, and monitoring credit exposure. Working closely with the finance and sales teams to assess and mitigate credit risk
  • Preparing and analyzing AR reports, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and collections metrics. Providing regular updates and insights to management on the status of accounts receivable and key performance indicators.
  • Identifying opportunities for streamlining and improving AR processes. Implementing best practices, automation tools, and system enhancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales, customer service, and finance teams. Collaborating with external parties, including customers and vendors, to resolve issues and ensure positive working relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations and staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting standards related to AR.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role for a minimum of 2 years
  • Holds 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Revenue Accounting, or related fields, with a clear drive for career growth
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or other Accounting ERPs
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to effectively analyze data
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by consistent change, displaying exceptional adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
